ARLENE BOGNA, Director
Arlene Bogna is an award-winning writer/director with a passion for storytelling. She recently won a 2009 Davey Award for "Beauty World," a :30 spot mashing together comedic relationships with the world of beauty for Almay Pure Blends. "Beauty World" is airing nationally.
In 2007 Ms. Bogna won the Platinum Aurora Award for Best of Show, a Telly Award, and a Davey Award for the PSA "Canvas" which aired on broadcast television. "Canvas" was produced by the prestigious Women In Film (WIF) PSA Program for the charity A Window Between Worlds, a national nonprofit organization that uses art workshops as a means to heal mothers and children who have experienced domestic violence. "Canvas" debuted at the Crystal and Lucy Awards and received commendations. Because of its narrative style, "Canvas" also screened as a short film / official entry in independent film festivals, including Worldfest where it won a Remi Award.
Arlene's feature screenplay "Earth Kids" which she co-wrote with Nicole Schubert won 1st Place at the 2007 KIDS FIRST! Festival Awards. Arlene wrote and directed the narrative short "Patriot Johnny" about an Iraq war veteran who comes home to find his world has changed. [more]
